Just look on Ebay for "CD changer magazine" and it brings up a ton of listings. Check the listings, most if not all list what body style and engine types take what magazine. BMW has three different levels of original-equipment sound system: Base Stereo. The six-speaker Stereo system has no tweeters and no amp. The speakers are powered by the head unit. The mesh tweeter grilles inboard of the side mirrors are missing. The signal from the head unit is heavily equalized, and the rear signal is high-pass filtered.
Probably a simple issue, however I need a bit of help. I have a '99 528i Sport with a stock 6 disc changer and it has decided to not register the cartridge anymore. It slowly died on me, finding one less each time I started the car, until now when I press CD and it responds with NO DISC. CD's are in the right way and the cartridge is in correctly.

E90 Radio stopped working (no warning beeps, parking sensors, etc) e90 2009 318d (facelift), 150.000 Kms, manual, without PDC. Radio is an Alpine BMW professional. Without Harman Kardon sound system. Still on the original battery. Always driven in Portugal (Temperature around the year: min= 5 ºC, max= 35ºC).
